Live!iXem grows and gives a wide-ranging insight into the more and more heterogeneous dimension of current italian experimental  electronic music and art scene.
The Live!iXem.06 competition is now in its third edition and one more time it joins music, video and live performances having research and experimentation as common fundamental elements.
The new italian electronic scene submitted just to the personal and creative usage of new technologies is the protagonist of the Live!iXem 06.
Different styles, different ways of conceiving music and images, their own interactions and the internal sinergies.
To confirm the ANTITESI's important work on the national territory through the project iXem, the Live!iXem 06 continues its own "journey" observing, promoting and spreading experimental artistic and musical activities and works strictly linked to the technological universe and to the research in the field of electronic arts.
Two are the towns involved - Palermo and Rome, thanks to the collaboration between two indipendent centers, attentive to the contemporary artistic realities: ANTITESI (Palermo) and Rialtosantambrogio (Rome).
Year by year, the Live!iXem changes with new formulas and structures, evolving, renowing and becoming a moment of development for social realtionships and  international cultural and artistic exchanges
After two days of audiovisual screenings in Palermo, the Live!iXem 06 moves to Rome for its final fundamental step: the live contest.
Now it's the moment of the real contest!!!
The preselected artists/groups are invited to live perform on the stage of the Live!ixem 06 starting at 6 p.m. until late night.
Among the live peformances, the jury (Domenico Sciajno, Thomas Ankersmit, Edwin Van Der Heide) will choose the one considered the most interesting in quality, artistic and performing value.
Thanks to the support of the Royal Netherlands Embassy, the Netherlands Culture Fund, Gaudeamus, Donemus, Dutch Jazz Connection, Edwin Van Der Heide and Thomas Ankersmit will perform live on the stage of the Live!iXem 06.
 
The 14th of december at 4 p.m. a panel discussion opens the Live!iXem 06.
Domenico Sciajno, musician, curator of the festival, considered one of the most active promoter of the italian experimental scene  and one of the most representative italian artists abroad, involved in a serious and continuous work of promoting and spreading experimental electronic arts, and Fabio Massimo Lo Verde Professor of Sociology  at the University of Palermo, with an artistic and sociological approach, reflect and discuss about the nowdays experimental electronic arts state and their relation with new media and telecoms network, in order to research new interpretative and fruition sceneries.
