Otolab was born in 2001 in Milan as an affinity group made up of musicians, djs, vjs, videoartists, graphic/web designers and architects drawn together by the need to confer a common focus to their projects. Otolab evolves through laboratory, seminar and workshop activities which rely on mutual exchange and support within projects; it actively supports the freedissemination of knowledge and explores the non-conventional usage of technology. Otolab's vision is to advance beyond pre-conceived schemes through a minimal approach to audiovisual works, both in live performances and studio productions. Otolab's sounds and visions are the lights and shadows which escort our fellow travellers on an experiential journey. Otolab's products are educational instruments for exploring the inner self. Otolab is a self-financed, self-produced, non-profit organization and therefore exists thanks to the voluntary work of its participants.
