v001 is meant to help bring a structured method for building modular and reusable performance patches for Max/MSP and Jitter - it isnt a complete low level programming system like Jamoma (nor meant to replace it), rather an immediately useful set of pre-made objects and patching methodologies. v.001 is a community driven, open source, modular solution for building easy to (re) use Max/MSP and Jitter patches targeted (but not limited to) visual performers and programmers.
It consists of 3 major components: - v001.app
An open source commercial level visual performance (VJ) application using the v.001 framework. You dont have to be a programmer to benefit. - v001.gui
A library of reusable and dynamic User Interface elements that allow state saving and LFO* and external IO binding out of the box. Just add them to your existing Max/MSP and Jitter patches enjoy the added functionality. - v001.module
A modularized system for creating simple to build yet powerful Jitter Matrix and GPU effects modules with out having to worry about specific archtectural issues. Enjoy experimenting and performing, and forget about solving low level patch specific problems.
- A set of example Max/MSP patches that not only clearly demonstrate how to use the library, but serve as working performance environments to expand upon and customize.
